What I’m Doing Now!

UI/UX Designer, storyteller, and systems thinker based in Karachi, Pakistan

Currently, I work as a UI/UX Designer at Extreme Networks (via Vinncorp), a B2B cloud networking company. I’m part of a fast-moving web team helping revamp and scale their digital ecosystem.

Introduction

Hey, I’m Illham a UX designer who likes turning ideas into things people actually enjoy using. Over the past few years, I’ve worked across industries like cloud networking, AI, and eCommerce, trying to make complex systems feel simple, human, and genuinely useful.

My path into design wasn’t linear. I come from a mixed background in Communication Design, Commerce, and Textile Design a mix that taught me to think both structurally and emotionally. That combination still shows up in how I work: part analytical, part expressive, always user-first.

I’ve worked with teams at different stages from fast-moving startups to structured SaaS environments and across all of it, I’ve learned to ask better questions, design for clarity, and make collaboration easier. Along the way, I’ve picked up a few certifications (shoutout to Google, IBM, and LinkedIn Learning) but most of my growth has come from doing the work, listening, and iterating.

From Helping Friends to Designing Solutions

Growing up, I was always the go-to person when someone needed help whether it was picking the right college, figuring out which film could lift a friend’s mood, or finding a way to make someone’s day a little easier. I didn’t think of it as problem-solving back then I just enjoyed making things simpler, clearer, or more meaningful for the people around me.

That same instinct eventually led me to design. What started as curiosity tweaking interfaces, reorganizing information, or improving a process slowly turned into a passion for building thoughtful digital experiences. I realized design wasn’t just about aesthetics or layout; it was about helping people move through complexity with more ease, clarity, and even joy.

Today, that early mindset still drives how I work. Whether it's a full product flow or a small UI detail, I design to solve real problems for real people with empathy, inclusivity, and intent at the core of everything I create.

What's Next

I draw inspiration from companies like Airbnb and Notion not just for their products, but their principles. Human-first. Scalable. Meaningful.

Someday, I’d love to start something of my own a product or studio that brings together design, tech, and storytelling. Until then, I’m just here to keep learning, experimenting, and creating cool stuff.
